Zübdetü-t Tevarih’de ilk yedi göğe ilave olarak Felek-i Sâmin, 9.gök olarak Felek-ül A’zam ve 10. olarak ta Felek-i Burç un var olduğu yazılıdır. Bu Felek-i Burç ta insanın kaderini tayin eden inceliklerin var olduğu söylenir. Eski Türk inanışında ilk erkek ve ilk kadının Yengeç ve Başak burçları ile yakın ilişkisine inanılır. Yengeç burcunda (yani haziranın başında) yazın gelmesiyle birlikte ısınan güneş ile toprak ve su pişmiş ve böylece Türklerin erkek atası olan Ay-Ata türemiştir. Bu burcu Ay ile çok yakın ilgisi vardır. Ağustos ayının ikinci yarısında Başak burcu başlar, bu mevsimde güneş sıcak olmakla birlikte giderek tesiri azalmaktadır. Bu burçta ki güneşle de Türklerin kadın Ataları türemiştir.
Kuranda burç diye geçen kavramın bu günkü burç kavramı ile örtüşmediği birçok tefsirci tarafından beyan edilir. İnsanın günden güne değişen ruh durumunu bildiren bir kaynağın var olduğu inancı, din dışı bir öykülenme olarak ilk kez Roma’da ortaya çıkmıştır. Sayılarıda kültürlere göre farklıdır. Yunan matematikcisi Eudoxus’a göre 44 burç vardır. Ptolemy ise 48 buç olduğunu ileri sürer. Hind Budizminde 28 burç vardır ve bunlara nakşatra denir. Nakşatralar, Brahman’ın dünyayı yaratması için var edilen 8 canlıdan biri olan Daksan’ın kızlarıdır. 11. yy da Yusuf Has Hacibin yazdığı Kutatgu Bilig de Allah’ın insanlar için bu felekler âlemini yarattığı ve ardından yaratılan tüm burçların gezegenleri oluşturduğu anlatılır.

In Zübdedetü-t Tevarih, (a history book written by Safi Mustafa Efendi about Sultan I. Ahmet period) it was written that felek(sky) has 10 stages. After seven stages the 8th stage is Felek-i Samin, 9th stage is Felek-ül Azam, and 10th stage is Felek-i Burç (sky of horoscope, sign). It is said that in this Felek-i Burç there are subtleties that determine the fate of man.
According to old Turkish belief, ancestor of human, first man and women had a close relationship with the Taurus and Virgo signs. At the Taurus sign (the beginning of the June) soil and water cooked with the coming of the summer sun’s heat and ancestor man of Turks Ay-Ata (moon ancestor) appeared.
